🐾  My 7 Cats — And Their Wild Personalities

Because what’s Mind & Mess without a little fur on the furniture?

It all started with one tiny meow 11 years ago — and somehow, here we are. Seven cats, one home, and a whole lot of personality.

This wasn’t planned. But each of them came into my life with a story, and somehow… they stayed. They’ve made my home chaotic, hilarious, and full of heart.

So let me introduce the real stars of Mind & Mess 🐾

🐱 Whisky (11 Years)
The OG queen who chose me — and started it all.

Whisky followed me on the street about 11 years ago, meowing nonstop. I wasn’t even a “cat person” back then. I told myself if she was still there after my grocery run, I’d take her home. She was. And then, I did. I gave her a bath and fell head over heels. She’s quirky, playful but calm and wise, and the one who made me fall in love with cats.

🐱 Brandy (9 Years)
Glamorous, powerful, and smarter than your average locksmith.

Long, black and white, with a beauty mark on her lip — Brandy is that girl.
She’s stunning and strong. Like… open-the-window-by-herself strong. She even taught the others how to open doors. She’s elegant, low-maintenance, and built like a runway model with super strength. None of them tangle with her. She’s like the silent Queen!

🐱 Bourbon (8 Years)
Ridiculously handsome alpha who eats like a vacuum and rules like a king.

Found next to his mother (who had passed away) on the street, just a few weeks old. Scared little boy, hissing away, I knew he wouldn’t survive. Even though I had my hands full with whisky and brandy, I told myself, I’ll get him home, nurture him and once he’s healthy I’ll put him up for adoption. But that clearly never happened. This cute little terror made me fall in love with him — now he rules the house. He is gorgeous but greedy and bold. The alpha. Eats literally everything under the sun. Absolutely loved.

🐱 Halo (10 Years)
The ex-alpha with a cheetah body and a soft spot for cuddles.

Halo came into the mix when I got married. He used to be the boss in his house — until he met Bourbon. Let’s just say… the fights were real nasty. They still do butt heads now and then. Can’t help that, they are boys afterall. But now Halo has mellowed down. He might be muscular with a boss attitude but he’s not a match for Bourbon who is double his size and weighs almost 10 kgs. Nevertheless, Halo is soft within, loves cuddles, and grabs my hand when he wants affection. I would say he has a dual personality.

🐱 Mr. Hubbert (Hooby) (7 Years)
The golden child with a crooked charm and the softest soul.

Ginger floof with a crooked tail, crooked eye, and crooked mustache — but a face like a cartoon. Looks like Garfield, no?! He meows like a whisper and is either the calmest angel or suddenly flying off walls. He’s my heart. My Golden Child.

🐱 Nosy (6 Years)
The drama-stirring aunty of the house — nosy, fluffy, and full of sass.

The drama queen of the house. She lives up to her name. Puts her nose everyone’s business, always riling up the house like she’s hosting a cat reality show. But also the softest cuddle bug who LOVES affection (on her terms, of course). I call her the cuddle monster.

🐱 Scotch (6 months)
The baby troublemaker who brought the whole gang back to life.

Our newest addition — and the cutest. Looks like Bourbon’s mini twin, but don’t let the face fool you. He’s got chaos in his soul. He’s besties with Hooby. He has been such a breath of fresh air. Makes everyone play again like they’re kittens.

🐾 How I Survive Life With 7 Cats

It’s not all cuddles — it’s fur, spills, the occasional fight, and a lot of litter. But over time, I’ve created little reset systems to make things work (and smell okay 😅).
